Eric M. Hoefflin

Eric

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Eric moved to Nashville in 2017 and joined the firm in 2021, bringing over 10 years of experience in public accounting, tax, and financial reporting.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. Eric graduated from Butler University. His experience includes working for a multi-national CPA firm’s Nashville office, and a regional firm based in Carmel, IN, primarily providing audit, review, compilation and tax services for large, mid-sized and closely-held companies.

Eric’s accounting experience includes working with the construction, manufacturing and real estate industries, as well as not-for-profit entities.


Zach Thompson

Zach

Zach was born and raised in the Nashville area, graduating from Brentwood High School in the spring of 2017. He attended the University of Mississippi and received his Bachelor of Accountancy in of May 2021. Zach gained experience working with Cooper, Travis and Company through an internship in the spring of his senior year of college and started working full time in September 2022, and is currently pursuing a CPA licensure.

Zach enjoys spending his time playing golf, watching sports, and building relationships.

Jimmy Morris

Jimmy

Jimmy graduated from Lipscomb University in 2004. He has lived in Middle Tennessee his whole life and currently resides in Rutherford County with his wife, Kara, and their four boys.

He enjoys building relationships with clients and provides audit, review, compilation, and tax services.

Don Singleton

Don

Don, with over 45 years of public accounting experience with local, regional, and national accounting and consulting firms, has concentrated his career in the construction, manufacturing, and NPO sectors. A native Nashvillian, Don received his B.S degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin and his J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law where he was inducted into the Cooper’s Inn Honor Society and received the Founders’ Award for academic excellence. Don is licensed as a CPA in Tennessee and additionally holds the ABV credential in business valuation and the CFF credential in financial forensics from the AICPA. Don is an honorary member of the American Institute of CPAs, a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Don has provided services to some of the most well-known public and private companies in the nation, with a focus in assurance services, internal auditing, consulting, and financial and construction litigation support. Additionally, Don has authored articles published in Construction Accounting and Taxation and Construction Executive’s – CE This Week.

After retiring as a partner from a national CPA firm in 2018, Don is excited to be included as part of the professional team at Cooper, Travis & Company, PLC, and looks forward to providing services to both the firm and its client base.

Mark J. Hoffman

Mark

Mark joined the firm in 2016 bringing over 10 years of experience in public accounting, tax, controllership and financial reporting. Mark graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 and earned a Master of Accountancy degree from Walsh College in 2006. Mark’s experience includes working for a large regional CPA firm based in Michigan, primarily providing assurance and tax services for mid-sized companies. His experience in the industry has included construction and real estate, large public company accounting and internal controls, project management, and business combinations.

Mark is a member of the AICPA and Tennessee Society of CPAs.

George Parrott

George

George Parrott joined the firm in 2012. With over 40 years’ experience, he is nationally recognized in the construction and real estate industries for financial reporting, tax, and consulting. George is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, with a B.S. in Business Administration, and the Nashville School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate. George is a licensed CPA and also holds the following designations: Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and is listed as a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Mediator.

In addition to the depth of his experience in the construction and real estate industries, George’s practice also includes construction claims development; HUD cost certifications and HUD financial audits; overhead rate audits for Department of Transportation compliance; litigation support services; financial forensics including fraud engagements; business valuation services for estate and gift tax matters, buy-sell agreements and mergers and acquisitions.

George is very active in the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) at both the national and local levels. He has served on the National Executive Committee and as Chair of the Tax and Legislative Affairs and Accounting and Reporting Committees. He is a current member of the Tax and Legislative Affairs Committee and the Education Steering Committee. In 2014, George received the prestigious Debra Hahn Memorial Award which recognizes outstanding CFMA participation and activity on both the local and national levels. George is a frequent author for Building Profits magazine.

Additionally, George is a member of the AICPA, the Tennessee Society of CPAs, and the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. He currently serves on the Federal Tax Committee and the Southeastern Valuation and Forensics Conference Committee at the TSCPA.

Danny R. VanArsdale

Danny

Born and raised in Michigan, Mr. VanArsdale has made middle Tennessee his home since 1998. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy and continues to maintain an active law license. Prior to joining Cooper Travis & Company, he gained extensive accounting experience while working in a variety of industries including construction, healthcare, hospitality, and non-profit.He now enjoys applying his knowledge, experience, and talents to help clients with tax and financial issues.

Danny devotes time to various community service activities that not only benefit others but that he believes also enrich his own life.

He relaxes at home on his small farm where there is never a lack of chores to get done.

Aimee Kunkle

Aimee

Aimee Kunkle has been an accountant with Cooper, Travis & Company since 2006. Prior to joining the firm Ms. Kunkle was a full time mother to her four children. Ms. Kunkle graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in 1993. She obtained a Graduate Accounting Certificate from Strayer University in 2006 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2010.

Ms. Kunkle works closely with the firm’s engagement partners to provide audit, review, and tax services to our clients. Her emphasis is on financial statement and tax return preparation for corporations and individuals.

David A. Lantz

David

David graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting in 1981. He has been with the firm for 3 years and brings with him over 40 years of experience in public accounting and private industry, with an emphasis in the area of tax and tax resolution. David moved to Tennessee in December of 2011 and has spent that time as a Tax Manager in public accounting.

Shortly after moving here, David met his wife, Tammy, and they married in May of 2013. They have 8 grown children and 14 grandchildren. Together they each passed the TN Real Estate exam in February 2020.

Outside of work, David’s favorite things are Bible Study, time with his wife, the Outdoors, Golfing, Hiking, Woodworking, Skiing, Mountain Biking, playing with his grandkids, and following his favorite sports teams (Go Avs).

Hollye Harrison-Guy

Hollye

Hollye graduated from Memphis State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting in 1990. She was employed by the audit department of National Firm KPMG in Memphis and Nashville Tennessee from 1990 to 1999 where she served as a senior manager with the firm and provided her with extensive audit experience in manufacturing, retail, and distribution. She has experience working on SEC filings including participating in initial public offerings. She left in 1999 and managed a satellite office for Grannis Wisenant & Associates in Lebanon, TN through 2001.

In 2001 Hollye joined Cooper, Travis & Company, PLC and has been concentrating in auditing for the commercial construction industry for 21 years at CTC. She is also proficient with assisting with accounting infrastructure consulting and operational development, as well as assisting in the accounting software implementation process.
